The Heart of the Arts Academy is proud to have a variety of different resources and technology available to our students and faculty. The technology allows our students to pursue their passion in a variety of different forms. We feel that student should have a choice in how they express themselves and this directly reflects our school motto, “Express the inner you”.

Our school is equipped with innovative libraries which allow students to research and learn outside of the classroom. Our school has computer labs throughout the school. These computer labs aid students in all subject areas. Some of the art rooms have kilns that allow students to create masterpieces out of clay. Within our school there are a number of motion sensors and cameras set in place to ensure the safety of our staff and students.

We try to instill the idea that learning does not stop when you leave the classroom. Our school provides video-conferencing, which allows the school to have guest speakers teach within the classroom, despite being miles away. This is essential seeing as how our school is located in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Unlike many other schools, The Heart of the Arts Academy prides itself in allowing students to bring in digital music. This allows students to upload the authentic music that they have created on to school computers in order to get the opinions of fellow students. Our drama theatres are equipped with surround sound speakers that can be controlled by remotes from a distance of over 50m. Also, the theatres have excellent sound and lighting systems. Our music rooms are soundproof and equipped with speakers that enhance both vocal and instrumental sounds.

Along with technology, our school has a number of different resources, one being our computers. The computers are a vital part of our school because they allow students to keep in contact with their families, to complete many assignments and to be informed about the world. Our school also offers students the luxury of webcams, which allow students to see how their families are doing abroad. One of our main priorities is making sure that students stay in touch with their families. LCD projectors and SMART boards are incorporated within many classrooms as an aid to teachers when teaching and for students when presenting. We also have a number of textbooks for the courses provided at our school. Textbooks are just as important as online sources, if not more, because they provide accurate information at all times.

There are a wide variety of props, such as costumes, for the drama students and visual art materials, such as paint and canvases, for the art students. The art program at our school is highly recognized because of the amount and quality of supplies available. Our school also has many different instruments from around the world for our music students.

Our wide range of technology and resources sets us apart from other schools and gives our students an advantage. The world is becoming highly technological, and by utilizing the most up-to-date technology at our school, our students will undoubtedly experience the benefits in the working world.
